La-La Land Crafts June 2015 New Release!!!

There is no doubt about it, La-La Land Crafts make the most amazing dies. They cut like a dream and have so many amazing designs!! Just check out their new die release (and their gorgeous new MOLLI stamps if you are a colorer!!!)

Not surprisingly, I chose to do two layouts to showcase the gorgeous new dies!! The first one showcases the Stitched Clouds Border Dies, the Flower Banner Die, and the Scalloped Trim Banner Die.

I started the layout by layering papers edged with the Stitched Clouds Border Dies.  I put my photo on top of these layers, adding some gorgeous Prima flowers and Petaloo butterflies to my cluster. I then layered the Flower Banner Die and the Scalloped Trim Banner Die

I love to use the Heart Scroll Corners Die as a vine flourish for my flower clusters, I think it is very effective!  To add a bit more layers I placed a Heart Doily Border Die under my photo and then added the beautiful delicate hanging hearts from the Hanging Hearts & Love Word Dies.

The gorgeous paper from Blue Fern's gorgeous Deja Vu collection is very detailed so no mixed media was used for this layout and I finished off with a title sticker "Smile".

My second layout features the dies in the new release that fit the seaside perfectly!

Here you can see the cute Flip Flops Die. I layered up the die and added cute little rhinestones to the flowers! The Double Stitched Hills Border made an effective wave look for the layers under the photo.

I added some more beautiful Prima flowers from my stash and then added the cute Beach Umbrella die to the cluster! I picked a gorgeous photo of my girls playing at the beach as my photo and added the title "You & Me". I added the Fancy Butterfly Die to finish off the layout adding a bit of whimsy to it!

I think you'll agree there are some great new dies in this new release! If you are interested in purchasing them you can buy them in the store HERE!! Pop on over and get yours soon!!

Wedding Card for Riddersholm Designs

This week I have a wedding card to share with you! I have used the gorgeous Vintage Venture In Time paper as my base to my card and for the die cuts.

I have distressed the edges of the image and added some gorgeous lace underneath as well as a beautiful die cut on top of the photo.

I added some gorgeous Prima flowers and a beautiful Ink It Jasmine flower and finally finished the card off with a bow and some stitching.

Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting!!!

Masculine Card for La-La Land Crafts

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is Father/Masculine!!  I found this great vintage image of a pilot and it fit my theme perfectly!

I used the Stitched Ribbon (Set of 3)  ribbons to make a frame for the image and took some fun screw head brads to add to the frame... I also added some small Tim Holtz paperclips for more masculine/industrial kinds of looks.

I took the die cut tools from the Tools Border Die as an effective decoration for my masculine card, adding some cogs from my Steampunk Heart Cogs Die tucked in under the frame. I finished up the card with a bit of stiching around the edges.

Tick Tock Use a Clock!

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is Tick Tock Use a Clock!!  I found this fun vintage image of a lady holding a clock and just had to use it for my card!

I used the beautiful Steampunk Clock Die as a base for my card design, adding the gorgeous photo on top of it.  I added a flower from my stash then added in the beautiful rolled roses using the Rolled Rose Small & Medium Die and Rolled Rose Large Die, tucking in the Cherry Blossom Branch Die and Creepy Vines Die behind. I added some twine loops and some stitching to the card to finish it off!!

Danseuse

This week I wanted to try a classic line from Riddersholm, beautiful Huntington Gardens! The pale peach color of the paper matched in perfectly with my image.

I just love to use vintage image for my layouts and cards and today I chose a beautiful young ballerina! I used lots of beautiful cut out images from the Huntington Gardens "Huntington" paper and layered them around the image.

I used beautiful flowers from Prima Marketing as well as one of their gorgeous zipper embellishments. I added some masking spraying, splashing and stamping to the layout background for more interest and detail.

I titled the layout "danseuse" which means female ballet in French and added some stitching around the edges to finish it off.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!

Carefree

This week at La-La Land Crafts the theme is More Than One Fold!! I decided to make a rosette as my folded piece for this challenge, lots more than one fold there, I can attest to that!! And of course I had to add lots of La-La Land Crafts dies to my layout!!

I chose this lovely vintage photo of a woman in a balletic pose at the beach, so of course I had to choose papers and embellies that suited this photo!! Here you can see the anchor I used from the Wheel and Anchor Die set, I place it on top of my rosette that is topped with a stiched circle die from the Stitched Nested Circle Dies set. I added a few flowers and shells to go along with the theme! I also added some quotes and the corrugated cardboard for texture.

In this photo you can see the Birds Die in use, atop some more Stitched Nested Circle Dies, I've added more shells here and you can see the Cherry Blossom Branch Die tucked in with the flowers. I've added the Honeycomb Die  tucked in behind the corugated card. For another seaside touch I added the anchor from the Wheel and Anchor Die set.

I added twine to show movement across the layout and added more quotes and the title "Carefree".

I really love how my beachy layout turned out! I hope you like it too!!
